Arcade Basics

1.1 Turning On and Powering Off your Arcade

Press the power switch located on the back of your unit and wait 45 seconds for the unit to boot up. Your LED marquee and LED buttons should light up, indicating that the power is on. Your arcade will automatically start the software without any further action needed from you. Please avoid using the arcade's controls or powering it off while the system starts up.

*Never try to turn off your arcade by disconnecting the power cable while it is on, as this could corrupt files and cause your machine to become unresponsive or non-operational. If you need to unplug your unit, first use the power switch to turn it off and wait for 45 seconds before unplugging it.*

You can also shut down your system through the arcade by pressing the Player 1 Button and scrolling down with your joystick to Quit. Select it with the left-most button on the bottom row and select Shutdown System. This menu also allows you to restart your arcade from here.

 

1.2 Adjusting your Arcade's Volume

To change the volume level on your unit, press the Player 1 Button. Scroll down to Sound Settings with your joystick and press the left-most button on the first row . On the System Volume setting, and move the joystick left and right to adjust your volume to the desired level. Press the middle button on the bottom row twice once you are finished adjusting your volume to exit the menu.

 

Using your Arcade

2.1 Main Menu Navigation Basics

• Use the joystick to scroll through menus
• Use the left-most button on the bottom row to select menu items
• Use the middle button on the bottom row to exit selections, exit menus or to
go back in general

 

2.2 Launching Games

When your arcade boots up, you will be placed in the All Games category. To select a game, scroll up and down through the list with the joystick. Select a game with the left-most button on the bottom row .

 

2.3 Searching for games by Title

To search for a specific game by title, press the left-most button on the top row . Follow on-screen instructions (located on the bottom of the screen) for how to type in the name of your game.

 

2.4 Browsing Systems/Consoles

You can also select a specific game console to search for games by pressing the middle button on the bottom row and scrolling through the list of consoles with the joystick. Press the left-most button on the bottom row to select a console.

To go back to this screen after selecting a console, press the middle button on the bottom row .

 

2.5 Adding Games to Favorites

If you want to add favorite games, you must first enable the favorites collection. To do this, press the Player 1 Button, then scroll to Game Collection Settings and select it with the left-most button on the bottom row . Scroll to Automatic Game Collections and select it. Here you can create automatic collections based on genre, systems, players, etc.

To add the favorites collection, scroll to Favorites and select it with the left-most button on the bottom row . When selected, there should be a check mark in the box next to favorites. Exit the menu by pressing the middle button on the bottom row twice . This collection will be located on the same menu that all the consoles are displayed on.

To add a specific game to favorites, find the game and hold the middle button on the top row . The system will show a notification on the top of the screen that the game has been added to favorites.

To remove a game from favorites, hold the middle button on the top row . The system will show a notification on the to of the screen that the game has been removed from favorites.

 

2.6 Light Guns & Additional Controllers

If your unit comes with two additional USB ports, these can be used to add extra controllers or light guns to the system.

When a light gun is connected, a new menu item will appear in the Controllers & Bluetooth settings menu specific to the light guns. This can be used to adjust settings specific to that light gun, such as calibration.

 

2.7 Re-configuring Controls

To re-configure or map controls on your system, press the Player 1 button and use your joystick to scroll to controller and bluetooth settings, Press the left-most button on the bottom row and select controller mapping. Follow the onscreen instructions on how to map your controls.

 

In Game

3.1 Controls

Due to the vast collection of games included in this arcade, detailed button layouts for each game and system are not provided. However, understanding the controls for each game is typically straightforward.

Most games can be started with the left-most button on the bottom row , but any of the six action buttons can also be used. If a game requires you to insert coin, press the Coin/Hotkey Button. Otherwise, follow the on-screen prompts for each game.

To pause a game, press the Player 1 Button. To exit a game, press the Exit button.

 

3.2 Hotkeys

The Coin button also functions as a Hotkey button, allowing you access to multiple features such as saving & loading progress, resetting the current game, pausing the game, etc. To use any of the hotkeys, you must press the Coin/Hotkey button and the corresponding button at the same time. Note that hotkeys commands may not work in every game, and you might have to navigate to the Quick Menu to access the same features.

 

3.3 Quick Menu

Pressing the Coin/Hotkey button and the left-most button on the bottom row at the same time while in a game. This will bring up the quick menu and a variety of options.

 

3.4 Saving Game Progress & Loading Saves

To save progress in your game, navigate to the Quick menu and scroll down to the Save States options. Press the left-most button on the bottom row . Scroll down and select Save State to save game progress to the currently selected slot. You can also save to the current slot by pressing the Coin/Hotkey button and the left-most button on the top row .

To load progress in your game, scroll down and select the Load State option. You can also load from the current slot by pressing the Coin/Hotkey button and the middle button on the top row .

You can have multiple saves per game by saving game sessions to a different save state slot. To change the current save/load slot, scroll up to and select the State Slot option, then move the joystick left and right to navigate between save slots. You can also change the current slot by pressing the Coin/Hotkey button and moving the joystick up and down. The current save slot will be shown on the bottom right of the screen.

 

3.5 Resetting a Game

To reset a game, navigate to the quick menu and select Restart with the left-most button on the bottom row . You can also reset by pressing the Coin/Hotkey button and the middle button on the bottom row .

 

3.6 Disk Swapping

Some games included with your arcade, like Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid, come on multiple discs. When browsing these titles, you'll see "(MULTI-DISC)" added to the end of their names. During gameplay, you'll eventually be prompted to insert the next disc to proceed. To switch discs:

1. While in-game, press the Coin/Hotkey button and left-most button on the bottom row . You will be brought to the Quick Menu.

2. Use your joystick to navigate and select Disc Control.

3. Select Eject Disc.

4. Select Current Disc Index.

5. Within this index, you'll find all the available numbered discs for your
current game. Scroll to and select the appropriate disc number.

6. Double-check that the correct disc number is displayed to the right of
the Current Disc Index listing. If the correct disc number is displayed, scroll to and select Insert Disc.

 

"Kiosk" & "Kids" mode

Kiosk and Kids mode are restricted modes that will prevent users from accessing the settings menu, or making any other modifications on the system: editing/removing collections and games, changing UI parameters, etc.

Kiosk is a restricted mode that still lets users access all the games, while Kids will only let users access games that have been pre-selected as safe for kids.

To enable these modes, press the Player 1 Button while outside of a game. Scroll to System Settings and select UI Mode with the left-most button on the bottom row .
